The Covid-19 pandemic has adversely affected hospital operations and supply chain management, which has shaved off their profit margins and has also led to an increase in the cost of healthcare for patients.
The severe shortfall of beds and advanced equipment such as ventilators in several countries highlighted the need for a healthcare system that can handle public health crisis of this magnitude in the future without passing on the costs to patients.
Thankfully, there are hospitals that have not only managed to overcome the pandemic-induced cost crisis, some are even expanding and building more capacities. And how? By a combination of newer investments and scientifically managing costs.
